Community Efforts
One of our strongest held beliefs is in helping people and contributing back to
the community. That's why we get involved. We're the first to offer
Partnerships to GEAR UP grants across the country, donating a portion of our
software and services to those in need.

GEAR UP is a grant program designed to increase the number of low-income
students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. GEAR
UP provides six-year grants to states and partnerships to provide services at
high-poverty middle and high schools. GEAR UP grantees serve an entire cohort of
students beginning no later than the seventh grade and follow the cohort through
high school. GEAR UP funds are also used to provide college scholarships to
low-income students. |

We also sponsor the AAC Student Recognition Programs at
Colorado State University, the first ever provided to TRIO students in our
region. The AAC is a SSS grant program that provides services to 300
low-income, first-generation and disabled students annually. In the 2007
academic year, 54% of AAC participants who entered CSU in 2002-2003 graduated
with a Bachelor’s degree within five years. Over 30% of participants maintain a
cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. These extraordinary accomplishments are
celebrated each year with a reception for graduating seniors featuring a banquet
dinner with motivational speaker, and a spring Honors Reception for students
maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
